
Stuart Angus
Stuart has over 22 years as President/CEO of professional firms throughout North America. Prior to becoming President of Vismand, Stuart was president of Quantec Geoscience Ltd. where amongst other things he successfully accomplished the commercialization of the Titan technology. Prior to joining Quantec, he was President/CEO of Earth Tech Canada, and Division manager of Earth Tech's largest North American business unit. At the time, Earth Tech was one of the most highly capitalized engineering/construction firms in North America.
Stuart holds an Honours Bachelor of Applied Science from The University of Toronto.
Loudon Owen
Loudon is co-founder of McLean Watson Capital. Prior to establishing McLean Watson Capital, Loudon and John Eckert financed and advised Softimage, a world leader in high-end 3D animation, in its growth from 4 to 250 employees, its IPO on Nasdaq in 1992 and the sale to Microsoft in 1994. Loudon and John served as the Joint COO for Softimage from 1993 to its sale. Prior to that, Loudon practiced corporate/commercial and securities law with a major Canadian law firm, concentrating on M&A and technology financing. He subsequently founded a corporate law firm that specialized in representing growth companies.
His experience is not complete without mentioning his playing professional hockey in Europe, being the Ontario College boxing champion, and co-founding the Canada Law Student Games.
Loudon currently sits on the Boards of Directors of i4i and Quantec. He has served on the Boards of a range of public companies, including BPI Mutual Funds, Brookfield/BF Realty and Softimage. His pro bono activities include serving on several non-profit boards and associations.
Loudon holds a BA from the University of Toronto, an LLB from Osgoode Hall, Toronto and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
Brian LaBerge
Mr. LaBerge joined Investment Saskatchewan in March 2006 and Victoria Park Capital in November 2006 as a Partner, bringing both investment and operational experience. Mr. LaBerge spent eleven years managing pension fund assets, first on behalf of the Telus Pension Plan and then as Vice President Real Estate with Greystone Managed Investments. Mr. LaBerge relocated to Calgary in 1996 to join Copez Properties, a privately held real estate investment management company and later started Compradores, a supplier of high-end furniture and home accessories. Compradores grew to over 400 employees, three offices in China and seven wholesale showrooms in the United States. Mr. LaBerge holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation and serves on the Board of Directors of CLINICARE, Quantec Geoscience Limited, and Solido Design Automation Inc.
Ron Vermey
With over 22 years of experience, Ron brings proven operational and leadership credentials in the technical professional services field. This was accomplished through leadership shown by management, interpersonal skills, implementing result oriented plans, and motivating teams committed to the success of the organization. Ron has a B.E. Sc from the University of Western, Ontario.
