The company was founded in 1986 initially to service the mineral exploration market and we are recognized experts in grassroots exploration with highly specialized services for near mine work that no other group globally matches (based on our proprietary Titan 24 technology). Since inception, Quantec has delivered a variety of customized geophysical surveys and services to many major, mid-tier and junior mining companies. Over the years, the company expanded its offerings to include geothermal and oil & gas exploration solutions. The company has completed more than 2500 surveys globally since 1986.

In North America, we have offices in Canada (Toronto), Reno (US), and Hermasillo (Mexico) providing local knowledge and rapid response to clients’ needs as they may arise. In South America, Quantec offices are located in Santiago (Chile), Mendoza (Argentina), and Arequipa (Peru), and we can easily mobilize throughout the region. In Asia, we have offices in Brisbane (Australia) and ourur most recent office is in Mumbai, India.
Elsewhere in the world, we are represented by Aegis Instruments (Botswana) which handles African operations and local sales. Terracorp handles sales and logistics in Brasil.
Benefiting Our Clients With Technical Innovation
Quantec’s flagship technology is the Titan 24 Magnetotelluric (MT) & IP / Resistivity (DCIP) distributed acquisition system. Titan 24 represents a revolutionary approach to ground based geophysics and is targeted to the increasingly deep and challenging earth science exploration environments of today and the future. By exploiting the benefits of distributed and multiparameter data, our clients obtain detailed information on resources, alteration, structure and geology for cost-effective drill targeting to depths of 750 m and beyond (1.5 km with MT).
This is well beyond the capability of the advanced airborne methods and even the deeper ground penetrating methods. Titan 24 is designed for use with airborne results and to locate targets that airborne methods simply cannot resolve effectively due to measurement on a moving platform and other airborne technology limitations. Titan 24 systems are available worldwide and have been deployed to a rapidly growing number of international earth science projects due its versatility, accuracy and depth of penetration capability. The technology is also applicable for mineral exploration, geothermal, and oil and gas applications
Quantec’s Ground Geophysics has helped clients with discovery for 20 years. Technologies include the latest in conventional surface and borehole time domain electromagnetic, resistivity and IP, magnetotelluric CSAMT, gravity, magnetics / VLF, and other methods. Ground geophysics surveys are conducted to our customer’s specifications with a variety of added value services available for processing, inversion, interpretation and presentation.
Spartan Deep Earth Resistivity Imaging is another key technology in the company’s arsenal with applications in mineral, geothermal and oil exploration. This magnetotelluric (MT) method sees to significant depths (with depths of 10’s of kms possible) for reconnaissance applications and recognition of deep structure, etc.
Through a mix of established proprietary systems such as Titan 24 and Spartan; conventional tools and methods; and further advances being developed in house, Quantec is prepared and fully equipped to help spearhead our customers’ discovery efforts at any exploration stage or location.
