At Quantec, you will be exposed to proven deep exploration technologies, including the Titan 24 Deep Earth Imaging system, and the Spartan Magnetotelluric system. Quantec is also a leader in conducting conventional Ground Geophysical surveys using a variety of methods.

Software Developer
This position at Quantec Geoscience Ltd. will consist of a committed Software Developer with opportunities for exposure to a wide range of new technologies and experiences. The Software Developer will participate as a full member of a software development team with shared responsibilities for the design, development and support of software applications related to the company’s geophysical business. You will report directly to the Manager of Software Development, and you will be based out of our Toronto office.
Experience & Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in all phases of software development
- Solid experience in C, C++ and MFC required.
- C#, C++/CLI, .NET skills are an asset
- Sound knowledge and understanding of OOP, Windows, Relational Databases, Version Control Software
- Strong mathematical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication skills including the ability to listen attentively as well as communicate technical information
- Assertive, proactive and takes initiative
- Experience working in a fast past, multi-tasking environment
Senior Geophysicist (Oil & Gas / Geothermal)
You will have at least three to five years of experience in an Oil and Gas environment, preferably working with non-seismic methods, but also able to understand the complexities of seismic data acquisition as well as data standards, processing, and interpretation of non-seismic and seismic data (Ref. QN0902).
Senior Geophysicist / Interpreter (2 positions)
You will have at least three to five years of experience working with ground geophysical data processing and interpretation in a Mineral Exploration environment. Reporting to the Manager, Quantec Interpretation Group, your responsibilities will include working with Titan 24 DCIP and MT data as well as Spartan MT data for exploration to depth (Ref. QN0903).
Geophysical Operator
Quantec Geoscience Ltd. needs a committed Geophysical Operator. Travel would be a fundamental part of this position and would entail traveling to various project areas throughout Canada, USA and internationally, involving a wide range of climatic and terrain conditions. The successful candidate will be exposed to a variety of new technologies and experiences and will have the opportunity to advance within the company from acquisition of data to management of field crews. Data quality is very important - therefore we need someone that is dedicated to taking quality measurements and adhering to quality control standards. Quantec also requires diversified people who can develop into high-end roles to ensure continued success of technology applications for clients.
Experience and Qualifications
- Computer skills - ability to learn specific software packages
- Strong science background
- Mining, geophysics, geology, and survey backgrounds are an asset
- Field/outdoor experience. Mechanically inclined
- Responsible, ability to work unsupervised, resourceful.
- Experience with use of scientific/geophysical equipment.
- Trouble-shooting and field repair capabilities
- Leadership qualities - able to work independently and make informed field decisions
- Physically fit – able to complete task under harsh conditions
- Responsive – able to work with others for extended duration
Senior Geophysicist / Interpreter (2 positions)
You will have at least five years of experience working with ground geophysical data processing and interpretation in a Mineral Exploration environment. You will also be required to have 3-5 years of experience working with DCIP data, Magnetotelluric data, and have a working knowledge of various inversion software packages. Familiarity with Geosoft and Geotools software is an asset. Reporting to the Manager, Quantec Interpretation Group, your responsibilities will include working with Titan 24 DCIP and MT data as well as Spartan MT data for exploration to depth (Ref. QN0903).
Field Assistants
Quantec Geoscience Ltd. is interested in hiring committed Field Assistants who are willing to complete outdoor geophysical field surveys in remote locations.
Experience and Qualifications
- Physical Stamina
- Mechanically inclined an asset
- Responsible, ability to work unsupervised, resourceful
- Driver's License would be an asset
- Bush navigation skills, compass skills
- GPS, mapping skills
- Outdoors work experience
- Assisting in the operation of geophysical equipment

Accounts Executive
Quantec Geoscience is seeking a highly experienced, high energy individual to join our Sales and Marketing team.
As an Accounts Executive at Quantec, you will support the Sales Team by developing ongoing relationships with clients and prospective clients, by introducing the company and its services to interested parties, and driving overall sales in one or more of the company’s areas of focus.
You will have a minimum of five years of advanced selling experience, with emphasis on the mining services sector preferred. A strong background in geophysics or geology is an asset. Computer experience with dedicated sales software is also preferred. You must have an extensive contact base within the mining industry.
