Quantec Geoscience, a leading global ground geophysical services group, is pleased to announce a number of openings to join our expanding team of professional geoscientists. At Quantec, you will be exposed to proven deep exploration technologies, including the Titan 24 Deep Earth Imaging system, and the Spartan Magnetotelluric system. Quantec is also a leader in conducting conventional Ground Geophysical surveys using a variety of methods.

Software Developer
This position at Quantec Geoscience Ltd. will consist of a committed Software Developer with opportunities for exposure to a wide range of new technologies and experiences. The Software Developer will participate as a full member of a software development team with shared responsibilities for the design, development and support of software applications related to the company’s geophysical business. You will report directly to the Manager of Software Development, and you will be based out of our Toronto office.
Experience & Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in all phases of software development
- Solid experience in C, C++ and MFC required.
- C#, C++/CLI, .NET skills are an asset
- Sound knowledge and understanding of OOP, Windows, Relational Databases, Version Control Software
- Strong mathematical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication skills including the ability to listen attentively as well as communicate technical information
- Assertive, proactive and takes initiative
- Experience working in a fast past, multi-tasking environment

Sales Representative (Oil & Gas / Geothermal)
You will have three to five years of experience in a dynamic sales environment specializing in Oil & Gas Exploration. Experience with Geothermal Exploration would be an asset but is not required. You will initially be based in Toronto for one year with relocation to Houston after this period (Ref. QN0901).

Senior Geophysicist (Oil & Gas / Geothermal)
You will have at least three to five years of experience in an Oil and Gas environment, preferably working with non-seismic methods, but also able to understand the complexities of seismic data acquisition as well as data standards, processing, and interpretation of non-seismic and seismic data (Ref. QN0902).

Senior Geophysicist / Interpreter (2 positions)
You will have at least three to five years of experience working with ground geophysical data processing and interpretation in a Mineral Exploration environment. Reporting to the Manager, Quantec Interpretation Group, your responsibilities will include working with Titan 24 DCIP and MT data as well as Spartan MT data for exploration to depth (Ref. QN0903).

R&D Geophysicist
Quantec is looking for geophysicists that are innovators; understanding geophysics from acquisition through to interpretation with the vision of what can be done and how to accomplish it (Ref. QN0904).
We believe that the Titan technology (Titan-24, Spartan, etc.) has a large potential of undeveloped possibilities, be it:
- growing on the current MT and DC/IP techniques
- expansion to other geophysical methods (e.g. CSEM)
- application in other fields such as petroleum or environmental applications
We are searching for individuals looking to contribute or lead the Research and Development programme at Quantec. Candidate qualifications are likely:
- Higher level Geophysics degree with >10 yrs experience
- Proven R&D track record in instrumentation or software design
- Can “see” and understand the problem and solution
- Think in terms of the big picture
