Our services are based on three technology areas, including Titan 24 Deep Earth Imaging, Quantec Ground Geophysics, and Spartan Deep Resistivity (MT) Imaging.
As described on our home page, each type of technology has related geoscience applications. Titan 24 has been applied on many grassroots and near mine projects as well as for geothermal and other work. Quantec Ground Geophysics is applicable for mineral exploration, geothermal exploration, and oil and gas exploration. Spartan is applicable for mineral exploration, geothermal exploration, oil and gas exploration, and other deep imaging or reconnaissance investigations.

Professional Services from Quantec
As an integrated geophysical services and consulting group, Quantec offers numerous options that enable exploration professionals to maximize the value of their survey expenditures while realizing the full potential of the high-quality results acquired by Quantec Geoscience. The company can also re-process, re-interpret or integrate geophysical and other data obtained from third-party surveys according to our clients’ needs.
Related services include survey design, data acquisition, quality assurance (QA / QC) processing, inversion, interpretation, integration with other results, and consulting. For existing data, services include re-processing, re-interpretation, and data integration.
Survey design is the key consideration in ensuring a successful geophysical program in any application. Quantec’s professionals carefully consider all components in the survey including survey dimensions, orientation of local geology and strike, ground conditions and topography, access, estimated footprint of the target, depth to the target, and other parameters. Our experts work with clients to ensure that all of these aspects are considered. We also ensure that basic safety parameters will be maintained at this stage of the survey.
Data acquisition involves all aspects related to physical acquisition of high-quality geophysical data -- whether from Quantec’s advanced Titan 24 technology, Quantec Ground Geophysics, or Spartan MT Resistivity. With more than two decades of experience in the field in a variety of harsh terrains around the world, Quantec knows what is required to acquire high quality data safely on any project site – either in the remote wilderness or near cultural sites. The company’s field experts have developed proprietary site preparation and surveying procedures that make it unique in industry and which contribute to the company’s reputation as a provider of high quality results. A final data acquisition report is provided for assessment and land claims purposes, etc.
Quality assurance (QA / QC) services are rendered in the field through professionally trained field operators and team leaders who ensure that all results are of the highest quality before moving to adjacent lines and / or departing the project area. Whether on a conventional IP survey or a Titan 24 survey, you can be assured that all data are checked and verified to ensure that errors are minimized -- thereby maximizing survey value to you. Quantec is known in industry for its attention to detail.
Data processing services are typically included with any of Quantec’s technology offerings. For a conventional Induced Polarization / Resistivity survey, for instance, data are first QA’d to ensure that results are valid and the data are then processed to produce relevant deliverables, such as plots and cross sections, etc. With Titan 24 and Spartan MT, the processing is even more advanced as these systems generate full waveform data. With full waveform results, processors are not limited to the digitized values output by a conventional system. Instead, Quantec has the freedom to remove noise and improve data quality further through processing. Quantec can also re-process data from pre-existing surveys or from surveys conducted by other contractors as required.
Inversion procedures are specialized computer algorithms used to generate models that approximate geology based on the input geophysical data and certain assumptions made about the inversion method to use. Quantec can provide 1-D, 2-D and 3-D models for Titan 24 Deep Earth Imaging results, Spartan Magnetotelluric results, and Quantec Ground Geophysics surveys (for example, 2D and 3D models in gravity and magnetics). Inversion software is the latest in commercially available programs as well as special in-house software employed in the Titan 24 and Spartan MT systems.
Interpretation services are provided with Titan 24 and Spartan MT and can be acquired optionally for Quantec Ground Geophysics surveys. Quantec’s philosophy is that interpretation of results must involve our clients and we actively request their participation in the process. As part of Titan 24 and Spartan MT, we typically offer two data review sessions. During these sessions, Quantec’s professionals present their interpretations which are then refined through interactive discussions with the client. Following the second session, a final interpretation report is generated and delivered to the client. With Quantec Ground Geophysics, advanced interpretations and interpretation products can be provided on request.
Data integration is another important service for today’s explorationists. Geoscience professionals no longer work in a vacuum or in individual silos – it is essential to integrate results from one discipline, such as geophysics, with others such as geology, geochemistry, etc. Quantec’s experts use applications such as Go-Cad and other commercially available standard software packages to either integrate data from clients or to provide data in a format that can be easily integrated with other results by the client’s personnel. Other options for data integration include compilation of ALL geophysical datasets (airborne and ground).
